During the last school holidays, we took our kids to Farm in The City in Seri Kembangan for a morning of fun. Not only did the kids enjoy themselves, the adults did too - it was definitely an educational and fun day for us all. It's amazing the amount of things you can learn and see in an hour in this place.
Farm in the City is considered a petting mini-zoo whereby children and adults are encouraged to get close to nature and animals. Animals are allowed to roam free in special enclosures which mimic their natural habitat as closely as possible. Personally I prefer Farm in The City to the zoo, since our kids were encouraged to feed and touch the animals and the caretakers/keepers would also explain about the origins and facts of the animals to us. The price of ticket is RM30 for adults and RM25 for children below 12. Children below 90cm in height will enjoy free entrance. All kids will be given a "Certificate of Attendance" at the end of the visit. Our kids love it here so much, they have been asking when we are going to the "farm" again ;)
Bring plenty of water and hat as it can get quite hot (although there are lots of trees inside). We spent about 1 1/2 hours here, there is a cafe just by the entrance but we wanted to have a picnic and ended up having a picnic in the carpark! There is always a first time for everything, eh? ;)
Hope you enjoy the photos!
